Deleting your account and data

You can delete your Disposabl account at any time by writing to us. This page explains how, exactly what disappears, and the two things that deliberately don’t.
How to delete your account
Email us from the address on your account and ask for it to be deleted — the address is at the bottom of this page. Deletion is immediate once actioned and cannot be undone: there is no grace period and no recovery.
Deleting from inside the app is coming, and this page will say so when it does. We would rather point you at the route that works today than at one that doesn’t.
If you joined as a guest
Guests have no account. Joining an event by QR or link doesn’t create a sign-in, and we never asked you for an email address, so there is nothing to log into and nothing to delete.
You can delete any frame you shot yourself directly from the album, at any time. If you’d like your frames removed in bulk, email us with the event name and roughly when you were there and we’ll find them.
Requesting deletion by email
If you can’t reach the app — you’ve deleted it, changed phone, or lost access to your sign-in — write to us from the email address on the account:
We may need to confirm you control the account before acting, since deletion is irreversible and we can’t undo it for someone who was impersonated. We aim to respond within one business day and to complete verified requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Your account
Your email address, name, avatar, and the identifier your sign-in provider uses.
Push notification tokens
Every device registration tied to you, so notifications stop.
Event memberships
Your membership of every event you joined.
Blocks
Blocks you made, and blocks other people made against you.
Your link to reports
Reports you filed stay in the moderation record, but are unlinked from you.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive deletion on purpose. We’d rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
Photos you shot
Frames stay in the albums of the events you joined, attributed to nobody. A shared roll belongs to everyone who was in the room, and deleting one person’s frames would tear holes in other people’s memories of that night. If you want yours gone too, delete them individually from the album first, then delete your account.
Purchase records
If you bought event capacity, the order is retained for financial reconciliation and tax obligations. It is detached from your account and keeps only the email address recorded at the time of purchase.
If deletion is refused
There is one case where the app will stop you: you are still hosting an event whose album hasn’t revealed yet.
Guests may still be shooting, or waiting on a reveal that only the host can trigger or reschedule. Deleting the host mid-roll would strand them with an album nobody can open. Develop the event now to reveal it, or wait for its scheduled reveal, then delete your account — the block clears by itself.
